Nuda - Milkshake Rapid Solution Review

Embarking on the quest for the perfect spray tan solution, I recently tried the Nuda Milkshake Rapid Spray Tan Solution. While the anticipation was high, I believe it's crucial to share honest experiences. So, let's dive into my candid review of this product.

NUDA is a Canadian-based company that specializes in providing as they state "top-of-the-line spray tan products." Their product line includes a range of luxurious, vegan-friendly sunless tanning and skincare products that are specifically designed to help clients achieve a healthy, flawless, and bronzed skin tone all year long.

Initial Impressions: Upon receiving the Nuda Milkshake, the packaging immediately caught my eye with its appealing design. The promise of a rapid tan solution sparked my curiosity. I must admit, I have a genuine appreciation for Nuda's marketing and solution bottles. This is precisely why I was eager to fall in love with this solution.

The Solution Used: Nuda Milkshake Rapid for 4 hours for a medium-dark tan. 

As stated on Nuda's website: "This solution is suitable for all skin types, since the intensity of the shade obtained will vary depending on when the clients take their shower. Milkshake is a mauve-based solution ideal for people with yellow or golden skin tones. It is quick drying, non-sticky and odourless, it will leave your customers smelling fresh cucumber." 

Ingredient List: Aqua (water), dihydroxyacetone, glycerin (plant derived), alcohol denatured, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, aloe barbadensis gel, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, camellia sinensis leaf extract (white tea extract), camellia oleifera leaf extract (green tea extract), sambucus nigra (elder) flower extract, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e), cholecalciferol (vitamin d3), retinyl palmitate (vitamin a), ascorbic acid (vitamin c), pyridoxine hci (vitamin b6), erythrulose, caramel, caffeine, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, parfum (fragrance), yellow 5, blue 1, red 40, green 5.

Application Process: In my view, Nuda boasts the most delightful fragrance among spray tan solutions available in the market. The scent resembled that of fresh rose water, creating a pleasant experience during application. The solution smoothly glided onto my body, and unlike some alternatives, it wasn't excessively "fumey."

I would like to note: It did make my skin look "burnt." I would advise clients with cooler undertones that this may happen but the redness will wash off in the shower. 

Color Development: It appears that this solution contains a significant amount of bronzers, as I found myself needing to return to the shower not once, but twice, to thoroughly rub them off. Even after two complete rinses, noticeable streaks persisted on my body. It's essential to emphasize to your clients that a thorough rub during the shower is necessary to remove the top layer; otherwise, they might mistake it for the actual tan.

The Results: I aimed for a medium-dark tan, and I believe I successfully reached that goal. The recommended rinse time for this solution ranges from 1 to 5 hours, with 1 hour resulting in a light tan and 5 hours in the darkest shade. Having left the solution on for 4 hours, I anticipated a slightly deeper hue. Nevertheless, the color appeared remarkably natural, aligning with a shade I could realistically achieve on my own.
