The First Impression: Upon receiving the package, I must admit - I felt a bit hesitant. The solution was in a non sealed bottle and didn't have any ingredient or information on the bottle. I actually forgot which solution I purchased and had to go back to my e-receipt to find out.

The owner Audrey did however reach out and asked if I had any questions or needed anything. She seemed as though she TRULY cared and it wasn't just another automated message. This added MAJOR brownie points to the experience. Knowing she was there to help with any questions or offer any advice was nice.

Ingredients that Speak of Quality: One of the standout features of Glazed Sunless is its commitment to quality ingredients. The solution boasts a blend that has impactful skin enhancing ingredients + botanicals. It's selling point is its pre-customized bronzers that in return create the most natural appearing tan possible.  They share that they use an eco-certified naturally derived DHA.

Glazed products are made in small batches and shipped from their warehouse  in San Diego, California.

The Solution Used: Glazed 'Original' 14% with a dash of AF. As stated on their website "The Original. A solution that can truly do it all, beautifully. Glazed Original is formulated with a unique blend of Olive, Violet, and Brown based bronzers which when combined will create a natural (and very neutral) brown tan on every client no matter their skin type or undertone."

They advertise this solution as a 2-in-1: one that can be used as a normal 8-hour or as a rapid. I do need to note however, that unless you are looking for a very light-medium tan, you should absolutely leave this solution on for the full 8 hours. I spray tanned my sister (skin type 1-2, cool undertones) with this solution and she left it on for 7 hours and it was still light-medium.

INGREDIENT LIST: Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Dihydroxyacetone, Glycerin (Plant Derived), Alcohol Denatured, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), , Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract (Green Tea Extract), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Sambucus Nigra (Elder) Flower Extract, Terminalia Ferdinandiana (Kakadu Plum) Fruit Extract, L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Caramel, Erythrulose, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caramel, Red 40, Yellow 5, Blue 1, Red 33, Yellow 6, Parfum (Fragrance)

Application Process: The true test of any spray tan solution lies in its application. The solution has a pleasant fragrance, eliminating the often-offensive odor associated with some tanning products. It didn't feel too tacky or wet post-application - this must be due to its water base. I actually really liked the way it felt during development - at times, I almost forgot I was marinating. I will note: I did look "patchy" during development - the solution looked as though it clumped together where I had drier skin. I would really advise clients to ensure they are hydrated and moisturized well leading up to the service. I may even spray each client with a hydration spray before using this solution. The patchiness did clear and smooth out post-shower.

I felt as though, when rinsing, there was more than a typical amount of bronzers washing off. This isn't an issue, just something to note. It could be because the solution has all three colors of bronzers in it: violet, brown, and olive. You want to tell your client to really rub their bodies and keep going until the water is coming out clear. As mentioned, I spray-tanned my sister with this solution too, and she messaged me post-shower, saying she was super streaky. I told her to get back in the shower and rinse, as the bronzers were not fully washed off. She said, "dude, I rubbed so hard."Just something to note!

This solution required a complete 24 hours before revealing its "true" color. Right after the shower, it seemed as if the entire tan had washed away. If I weren't a spray tan artist and aware that the color was still developing, I might have felt quite disappointed and anxious. When using this solution, it's advisable to inform your clients that it takes a full 24 hours before the true depth becomes apparent. This timeframe is typical.

Results That Dazzle: 24 hours later, the big reveal left us in awe. The tan was not only beautifully bronzed but also remarkably natural. The color did not veer into the dreaded orange territory but instead offered a radiant, sunlit hue that would make any beach enthusiast envious.

Longevity and Fade: A major concern with any tan is its staying power. The tan started to get a bit patchy on day 4. This could be because I was in Ramona, California which is a desert climate. I was also taking 2 showers a day! I will be testing this solution again without travel to test its longevity again.

The fade was gradual and exfoliating off the solution was a breeze! I LOVED this part.

PICTURED: My sister (left) Myself (right)

Sister: Cool Undertone, Skin Type 1-2. Left solution on for 7 hours. Wanted dark-ultra dark tan. Felt as though it was medium-dark.

Me: Cool Undertone, Skin Type 3. Left on for 6 hours. Wanted a dark-ultra dark tan. felt as though it was just dark.

I would only use this solution as a rapid if you are skin type 4-6 or if you are looking for just a light to medium glow.

Conclusion/Overall:  In the realm of spray tan solutions, Glazed Sunless emerges as a great contender. I really loved the color, the spray experience and the way it exfoliated off so easily. I will better hydrate and moisturize next time to avoid any dryness. Stay tuned for part two when I try this solution out for the full 8 hours and  WITHOUT traveling.
